Innovation in Action
At the Augusta Prep’s research lab, Oxford University physicist Rob Johnson decided to put Renueit to the test. He followed similar testing strategies to those previously used by safety research organization UL (once known as Underwriters Laboratories). The first roof sample had 14-year-old asphalt shingles treated with the Renueit product. The other sample present was untreated, but had Class 4 shingles. These Class 4 shingles were brand new and advertised to be able to withstand strong winds and hailstorms. Johnson dropped a 1.91 pound steel ball from about 20 feet onto each sample to test the durability of the shingles. He even dropped a slightly heavier ball from approximately six inches higher onto the sample with Renueit to show the true power of the product. As expected, the roof sample with Renueit held up better than the brand new shingles without it!
Patent Pending Renueit Technology: A Work in Progress
